Sunday Dinner
I’ve always watch my granny 👵🏽 make dinner, and she loved making a quick yet filling meal for all 7 of her grandchildren. Yea 7❗️
One meal I loved was the Oven Baked Chicken 🍗 . It was always so juicy and went well with a side of rice 🍚 .
I guess I share my methods lol. Just know, measurements are up to you!
Ingredients:
Chicken Thighs 🍗
Butter 🧈
Olive oil
Parsley 🌿 Flakes
Paprika
Adobo Seasoning
Seasoning Salt
Garlic 🧄 Powder
Onion Powder
Yellow Onion 🧅
Prep:
- Preheat Oven to 360
- WASH your chicken
- After washing, feel free to cut off any excess skin/fat
- Pat the chicken dry so that the seasoning will stick
- In a large bowl, season the chicken with Paprika, Onion & Garlic Powder, Adobo Seasoning, Parsley Flakes, and Seasoning Salt. Make sure to add a little olive oil to help with the spread. (It will also help in the cooking process)
❗️KEY PART ❗️
- Slice a small amount of the yellow onion to barely fill the bottom of your baking pan.
- Place the chicken on top of the onions, and place a little bit of butter in between each piece.
- With foil paper, make sure it’s fully covered so that the steam creates a juicy, flavorful base.
- Place the pan into the oven for 45 min, while checking every 15 mins. Each time, be sure to take a spoon amount of the juice from the bottom of the pan and pour on top of the chicken. Recover the pan with foil.
- At the last 15 min, take off the foil and continue to cook.
- After the time is up, set to a low broil for 1-2 min and then enjoy! 😊
