"The Void" explores the vacuum state of the dark side.
In a vacuum of the mind, we should choose to hide, hide the dark side, or reveal it. "The Void," an exhibition that invites us to confront the vacuum state by the artist Warat Jaruzirikul.
"The Void," or vacuum, is interpreted by the artist as a state halfway between persistence and disappearance, like standing on the edge of a cliff that has to decide how to move on, it's not just a space of fear, it's the infrastructure of human emotions that everyone has to meet, and it can be a thrust to a new path that they never know.
Artists are fascinated by the relationship between the soul, anatomy, and the mysterious darkness hidden in humans.
It is a work that reflects Surrealism, combining truth with the logic of dreams, creating representations of the unconscious, memories, and pressed things. The beginning of many works comes from everyday events or important moments that are reinterpreted as obscure images, but invites the audience to feel connected in an experienced way.
The works in "The Void" convey an atmosphere of floating between loss and discovery, through cold tones like purple, blue, gray, and black, which create a pressured mood, empty, but also hidden magnificence. We see a swirling line, a flickering surface, resembling energy, waves, or fog, which may indicate unsolved thoughts and emotions. Many works make us feel both magnificent and uncomfortable at the same time, reflecting the dark side hidden in man, which has never been mentioned.

ก่อนจะไปดู “The Void” เราแนะนำให้เผื่อเวลาสัก 40–60 นาที แล้วค่อยๆ เดินดูตั้งแต่ภาพใหญ่ไปภาพเล็ก จะได้ “รับอารมณ์” ของงานเต็มๆ เพราะคาแรกเตอร์เด่นของนิทรรศการนี้คือโทนสีเย็นอย่างม่วง น้ำเงิน เทา ดำ และลายหมุนวนคล้ายคลื่น/หมอก ที่พาเราเข้าไปอยู่ในภาวะกึ่งกลางระหว่างการคงอยู่กับการเลือนหายตามคอนเซ็ปต์สุญญากาศ ทริคที่เราลองแล้วเวิร์กคือยืนดูภาพแต่ละชิ้นให้พ้นระยะ “อ่านรายละเอียด” ก่อน (ถอยออกมานิดนึง) แล้วค่อยเดินเข้าไปใกล้เพื่อดูพื้นผิวสีที่หนา การปาด การไหลของสี และจังหวะเส้นหมุนวน พอทำแบบนี้จะเห็นว่าแต่ละภาพไม่ได้ให้ความมืดแบบน่ากลัวอย่างเดียว แต่มันมีความสวยแบบกดดันๆ เหมือนความรู้สึกที่ยังคลี่คลายไม่จบ ซึ่งเป็นเสน่ห์ของงานเซอร์เรียลที่ทำให้เรานึกถึงความทรงจำหรืออารมณ์ที่เคยกดไว้โดยไม่รู้ตัว ถ้าอยากถ่ายรูป แนะนำให้เลือกมุมที่มีผนังปูนเปลือย/สีชมพูที่ลอกนิดๆ กับภาพโทนม่วงเข้ม เพราะคอนทราสต์มันทำให้ภาพดู “มีเรื่องเล่า” มากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะชิ้นใหญ่ที่ชื่อ THE VOID ที่ลายหมุนวนสีม่วงเข้มจะเด่นมากในเฟรม ส่วนโซนโต๊ะกระจกที่มีชิ้นงานเล็กๆ เหมาะกับการถ่ายดีเทล แต่ควรระวังแสงสะท้อนจากกระจก (ลองขยับมุมกล้องเล็กน้อยจะช่วยได้) การเดินทางไป TARS Unlimited (ถนนทรงวาด) เราไปช่วงบ่ายๆ คนยังไม่แน่น เดินช้าๆ ได้สบาย ถ้าอยากได้ความสงบในการดูงาน แนะนำไปวันธรรมดาหรือไปช่วงเปิด 14.00 น. จะมีพื้นที่ให้ยืนค้างหน้าภาพนานๆ โดยไม่เกร็ง สำหรับคนที่ค้นหาคำว่า “แกนีมีด” แล้วหลุดมาเจอโพสต์นี้: นิทรรศการนี้ไม่ได้เกี่ยวกับมีดหรืออุปกรณ์ทำครัวนะ แต่ถ้าคุณกำลังหาที่ไปเพื่อ “รีเซ็ตใจ” หรืออยากดูงานที่พูดถึงด้านมืด ความว่างเปล่า และอารมณ์ที่อธิบายยากๆ แบบไม่ต้องใช้คำเยอะ ที่นี่ตอบโจทย์มาก และที่สำคัญคือเข้าชมฟรี (จัดแสดงถึง 28 กันยายน 2567, เปิดอังคาร–อาทิตย์ 14.00–18.00 น. ปิดวันจันทร์)
