Garden Progress 🌿

6/17 Edited to

... Read moreWatching my garden progress each season has taught me so much about patience and natural growth cycles. One thing I noticed this year is how last year's wildflowers are sprouting again, creating a lovely natural backdrop for the vibrant sunflowers I planted recently. It's rewarding to see both old and new plants thriving together, but it also brings challenges, especially with pests. I had one leaf that remained untouched by pests, unlike the others full of holes. After some research and trial and error, I found that using natural deterrents like neem oil, homemade garlic spray, and encouraging beneficial insects like ladybugs helped reduce damage. Regularly checking the undersides of leaves and promptly removing affected areas can also prevent infestations from spreading. Additionally, soil health plays a crucial role. Ensuring the soil is rich in organic matter and well-drained supports strong plant growth, making plants less vulnerable to pests and diseases. Mulching around the plants keeps moisture consistent and weeds minimal, creating an environment where plants can flourish. I highly recommend gardeners to keep a journal or take photos weekly to monitor plant health and progress. This practice not only helps in early pest detection but also tracks what methods work best in your unique garden environment. Sharing experiences in communities like #plantingandhealing and #growingplants can offer invaluable advice and support. Overall, gardening is a continual learning process that brings so much joy and satisfaction. Every little progress, like those resilient wildflowers and growing sunflowers, reminds me that with the right care and patience, a thriving garden is well within reach.

Hey guys, thanks so much for the support and suggestions on my last post. I know some of you had questions for updates or follow ups but I didn’t want to provide one until I can give a ACTUAL progress photos. (I don’t think it’s been exactly one month but long enough to see results for sure)
