Keto Pizza 🍋

Hello everyone 🥰 my first pizza! Only 9 carbs for the entire 8" pizza 😁 and it was delicious!

1 cup of mixed mozzarella and parmesan cheese

2 tbsp of almond flour

1 large egg

Seasoning to your liking (I used oregano, 1/2 tbsp of garlic paste, salt and pepper)

Mix all together

Mixture will look loose but that's ok. I put a piece of parchment paper in a round 8" baking pan poured the mixture in and spread it around, I like it thin.

Baked it for 10 minutes, took it out and flipped the crust

Now add your favorite toppings, I added low carb pizza sauce, sausage, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese

Baked for another 10 minutes

This creates a sturdy foundation, so your keto pizza slice doesn't flop when you pick it up! A good sturdy crust makes all the difference for presentation. Next up, the toppings! This is where the magic happens for that visual appeal. I love using plenty of melted mozzarella cheese. Don't be shy with it! For my last pizza, I layered a generous amount on top of a low-carb sauce, then added my favorite pepperoni slices and savory crumbled sausage. Arranging them evenly makes each slice look equally appealing. Sometimes, I even tear up a few basil leaves to sprinkle on top right before the final bake – the fresh green really pops against the red sauce and golden cheese. To get that beautiful gooey, bubbly cheese look, make sure your oven is hot enough for the second bake, around 400-425°F (200-220°C). Watch it closely, and once the cheese is golden and bubbling, it's ready. That's when you get that irresistible stretch of melted mozzarella cheese when you pull a slice away. And for cutting? I found a sharp pizza cutter is essential. Let the pizza cool for just a minute or two after baking – not too long, or the cheese will set too much, but enough so it's not scorching hot. This helps you get clean cut into slices without dragging all the cheese and toppings around. For my photos, I often present it on a vibrant blue plate because the colors really stand out. Having one slice slightly separated from the rest creates that inviting, "grab a piece" look. Honestly, perfecting your keto pizza slice close up is all about practice and paying attention to these little details. It makes the whole experience so much more satisfying, especially when you know you're enjoying a delicious meal with only 9 carbs for the whole pie!
