✨ 132 Pounds Down & Still Going ✨

In 2021, I weighed over 400 lbs. By the time I had bariatric surgery, I was 391 lbs. I was exhausted physically, emotionally, and mentally. I knew I wanted more for myself, but I also knew the journey ahead wouldn’t be easy.

Bariatric surgery didn’t magically change my life overnight. It gave me a tool. The real work came afterward—changing my habits, rebuilding my relationship with food, staying consistent, and continuing to choose myself every day.

Today, I weigh 259 lbs.

That’s 132 lbs gone since surgery and a version of myself I never thought I’d meet. While I’m proud of the weight I’ve lost, I’m even more proud of the strength I’ve gained.

This journey has taught me patience, resilience, and that progress doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

To anyone considering bariatric surgery or currently on their own journey: keep going. The days will pass anyway. One day you’ll look back and be amazed by how far you’ve come. ❤️

✨ Highest Weight: 400+ lbs

✨ Surgery Weight: 391 lbs

✨ Current Weight: 259 lbs

✨ Total Lost Since Surgery: 132 lbs

✨ Goal Weight: 185–195 lbs

If you’re on your own journey, remember: progress is progress, no matter how slow it feels. Keep going. One day you’ll look back and realize you made it through things you once thought would break you.

391 lbs ➡️ 259 lbs ➡️ 185-195 lbs (Goal)

❤️ The journey isn’t over, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

... Read moreEmbarking on a weight loss journey like this one requires more than just surgery; it demands continuous effort, mental strength, and a deep commitment to self-care. From my own experience and countless stories shared within bariatric communities, the most significant changes come after the surgery. The procedure can be a valuable tool, but it’s the daily decisions we make—choosing healthier foods, practicing mindful eating, staying consistent with exercise, and prioritizing mental health—that create lasting impact. The OCR content showing weights like “400+lbs,” “290lbs,” “275lbs,” and “3sum Ibs” reflects the typical progression many experience emotionally and physically, where the journey is marked by milestones rather than perfect progress. Patience is essential because weight can fluctuate, and setbacks may occur, but resilience helps us to keep moving forward. Another critical aspect is rebuilding the relationship with food. After bariatric surgery, portions are smaller, and nutritional needs change, making it vital to understand the body’s signals and adopt new eating habits. Support systems—from medical professionals to online groups—play an important role in providing encouragement and advice. For those contemplating bariatric surgery or at any point in their weight loss journey, know that progress is personal and nonlinear. Celebrating each pound lost, each healthy meal, and each day you choose yourself propels you closer to your goals. Remember, the numbers on the scale are just one part of your transformation; the strength, perseverance, and improved wellbeing you gain are what truly define success. Stay patient, stay resilient, and keep looking forward to becoming the best version of yourself.

I can’t say this weight loss journey has been easy so far. It’s been very hard actually. I try my best not to make excuses, but life be life’n and it’s hard to stick to my workout routines, meal prep, track, and stay sane. With that being said, I am so happy I made the decision to take control of m

Weight Conversion Pounds and Kilograms
In nursing, weight is one of the most important numbers for safe medication dosing. Many medications are ordered based on kilograms, while patients in the United States usually know their weight in pounds. This means nurses must be comfortable converting between pounds (lbs) and kilograms (kg).
