It’s A Ugly Process 😂 But Beautiful Results ✨

Have You Tried Chemical Peels Before?

Did The Peel Work For You ?

I loveeee a good peel but hate the process lol. I know some people may have bad experiences with chemical peels But they definitely work for me. My skin wasn’t too bad. I just get dark marks on my face after a break out, so the peel helps w evening skin tone and brighten those dark spots.

It’s always important to know your skin type, know what your skin can and can’t handle and most importantly KNOW WHAT TYPE OF CHEMICAL PEEL IS RIGHT FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE.

Even tho you do see and feel results after the first peel, you do have to get multiple peels, depending on your skin condition. Everybody’s acne is not the same so some people will only need 2-3 peels and someone with worse acne might need 3-6 peels. It all depends on the condition.

YOU STILL HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AFTER A PEEL ! My turmeric products are lifeeeee!! They do my skin so good !😊 I stand by them 🤞🏾✨💪🏾💪🏾

I recommend seeing a dermatologist. Because I am not one lol. Even tho I have taken a few skin care courses . I’m just sharing my experience and results with you guys 🥰✨

Oh yea. Black Woman ✨😊 USE SUNSCREEN!

... Read moreI know the thought of a 'chemical peel facial' can sound intimidating, especially when you hear about the skin peeling phase – trust me, I've been there! But let's demystify it a bit, especially when it comes to a salicylic acid peel. This type of peel is fantastic, particularly if you're dealing with acne, blackheads, whiteheads, or those stubborn dark spots from past breakouts, just like I was. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, which means it can penetrate deeper into your pores to dissolve oil and dead skin cells that cause blemishes. It's like a deep clean for your skin, promoting faster cell turnover to reveal clearer skin underneath. When I started my chemical peel journey, I really dove into understanding the process, and I want to share that with you. The 'ugly process' of skin peeling is actually a sign that the peel is working its magic, shedding off damaged layers to make way for fresh, new skin. For me, the peeling started a few days after the treatment, typically around day 3-5, and lasted about a week. It wasn't painful, but definitely a bit flaky and sometimes itchy – think of it as your skin hitting the reset button! This is where the 'she changed, no she healed' sentiment really resonated with me. It’s a period of intense transformation, and seeing that old skin shed really felt like healing from past blemishes. During this post-peel phase, taking extra care of your skin is non-negotiable. Hydration is key! I focused on gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizers to soothe my skin. And speaking of magical products, those turmeric products I mentioned in my main post were absolute game-changers. I specifically relied on a good turmeric serum for its anti-inflammatory and brightening properties, which really helped calm redness and target my hyperpigmentation. A gentle turmeric gel cleanser was perfect for washing my face without stripping it, and a nourishing rose oil helped lock in moisture and gave my skin that extra boost of glowing skin and radiant skin. These ingredients were crucial in supporting my skin's recovery and enhancing the before and after results. Beyond products, sun protection is paramount. Your fresh, new skin is extra vulnerable to UV damage, which can undo all the benefits of the peel and even worsen hyperpigmentation. So, a broad-spectrum SPF 30 (or higher!) applied daily, rain or shine, is a must. Finally, remember that patience is a virtue with chemical peels. While you might see immediate improvements, the truly beautiful results often unfold over several weeks and after a series of treatments, as my dermatologist explained. Everyone's skin reacts differently, so listen to your skin, follow your professional's advice, and celebrate each step of your healing journey. It’s not just about clearer skin; it’s about feeling more confident and comfortable in your own skin, truly embodying that 'she healed' transformation.
