One thing I’ve learned after losing 100+ pounds is that healthy eating doesn’t mean everyone has to eat the exact same meal.

🥩 My husband’s plate:

Homemade peppered steak with brown rice and sautéed bell peppers.

🥦 My plate (and the kids’):

Chicken & broccoli over brown rice with roasted rainbow carrots.

Both meals are high in protein, full of flavor, and made with simple ingredients we already had at home. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to be sustainable. 🤍

From my experience, the key to sustaining healthy eating habits, especially for families, is keeping meals simple, flavorful, and tailored to individual tastes. Preparing versatile ingredients ahead of time can save cooking time during busy evenings. Plus, involving family members in choosing and prepping meals encourages healthier choices and makes dinner more enjoyable.
