Whats Your Choice Of Birth Control & Why?!

I’m curious on your story and your thoughts! 💭

... Read moreChoosing the right birth control method is a highly personal decision influenced by various factors such as health conditions, lifestyle, convenience, and personal preferences. Common birth control options include hormonal methods like the pill, patch, ring, or injections, as well as non-hormonal choices such as copper intrauterine devices (IUDs), condoms, fertility awareness, and permanent solutions like sterilization. Hormonal methods work by regulating or stopping ovulation and thickening cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching an egg. These methods are often favored for their effectiveness and additional benefits like regulating menstrual cycles and reducing acne. However, some may experience side effects such as mood changes or weight fluctuations. Non-hormonal methods appeal to those seeking to avoid hormones due to medical reasons or personal preference. The copper IUD, for instance, can provide long-term protection without hormones but may lead to heavier periods in some users. When deciding on birth control, it's important to consult with healthcare providers to consider factors like age, medical history, plans for pregnancy, and lifestyle. Accessibility, cost, and ease of use also impact user satisfaction. Moreover, conversations around birth control encourage awareness of sexual health and empower individuals to make informed decisions that align with their values and needs. Sharing personal experiences as invited in this article fosters a supportive community where people can learn and grow in understanding the diverse perspectives on reproductive health.

Does birth control reduce our sexiness?
Hear me out… out of all the stages in our menstrual cycle ovulation is the one where we not only feel the sexiest, but look the sexiest. Our bodies are the strongest, our hair falls the best, our skin looks the best, and this is all a biological way of us attracting a man for reproduction. Ovul

Whats your personal experience with birth control?
I’ve never taken birth control, and honestly, it’s mostly because of what I’ve seen the women in my family go through. My mom and my aunts all used it at some point, and they each had their own set of issues from painful cysts to irregular cycles to even having a hard time conceiving afterward.
