Hey everyone! So glad you're here for my first day of school GRWM. That feeling on the day before the first day of school is always a mix of excitement and a little bit of nerves, right? Especially when you're a teacher! Over the years, I've really honed my GRWM for the first day of school routine to make sure I feel confident and ready to tackle anything the day throws at me. It's not just about looking presentable; it's about setting the right tone for the whole year. My key is planning ahead. The night before, I always lay out my outfit. For my first day, I usually go for something professional yet comfortable. Think a flowy midi dress with practical flats, or tailored pants with a nice blouse. Comfort is non-negotiable when you're on your feet all day in the classroom! Then, on the morning of, my routine is pretty streamlined. I start with a quick skincare refresh. A hydrating serum and a good SPF are my non-negotiables. For makeup, I focus on a fresh, natural look that will last. I’m a huge fan of products that blend easily and don't require a lot of touch-ups. For instance, I adore the CC Cream from @IT Cosmetics for its coverage and SPF, it’s a lifesaver for busy mornings. Then, a touch of blush from @Rare Beauty really brightens things up – their liquid blushes are amazing and last all day. I usually finish with a simple brow gel and a quick swipe of mascara. I sometimes use a setting spray from @NYX Professional Makeup to lock everything in place, especially since I'll be talking a lot and won't have time to reapply. Hair is usually a quick affair – maybe a sleek ponytail, a half-up style, or just letting it air dry with a little texturizing spray. The goal is neat and out of my face! But beyond the physical prep, the mental prep is just as important. While I'm getting ready, I like to listen to an uplifting podcast or some calm music. I also take a few moments to visualize my day – meeting new students, setting up the classroom, and just having a positive start. This helps calm any jitters and gets me in the right headspace. One last tip for anyone doing their own GRWM for the first day of school: don't overthink it! The most important thing is to feel like yourself. Whether you're a student or a teacher, a confident and prepared mindset will shine through. Remember, it’s a fresh start, and every day is a chance to make a great impression. Wishing everyone a fantastic first day back!
