THIS is what happened when i started lifting heavy …

i stopped restricting food, trying new workouts every week, and actually stuck to a plan...my body FINALLY TRANSFORMED 💫👏🏼🥹

i always thought my goal was to be smaller… but turns out it was to be stronger !!

if you've been stuck doing more HIIT classes, hours of cardio, eating less, and not seeing the change you want... this is your sign to challenge yourself !!!

FUEL your body ! LIFT HEAVY ! take REST days ! learning about macros did SOOOO much for me !!!! i learned to eat for my goals and use food as fuel vs. something i feared !!!!

find a workout program and stick to it for AT LEAST 12-16 weeks. push yourself more and more every week by increasing weight, reps, adjusting tempo, etc.

eat ENOUGH to support muscle growth !!!! ~1g of protein per goal body weight and fill the rest of your calories with carbs and fats !!! carbs should be your MOST consumed macro !!!!

need extra support ?!!! click the link in my bio to apply to my 1:1 coaching program 🫶🏼

... Read moreStarting to lift heavy was a game changer for me and my body transformation journey. Before, I was caught up in endless cardio and restrictive eating, hoping to become smaller, but I never felt stronger or more confident. It wasn't until I committed to a consistent lifting regimen—sticking to it for at least 12 to 16 weeks, gradually increasing the weights, reps, and adjusting workout tempo—that I noticed real physical and mental changes. One vital lesson was learning to fuel my body with enough calories, especially focusing on macros. I aimed for roughly 1 gram of protein per my target body weight and made sure carbohydrates were my primary energy source. This shift helped me build muscle instead of just burning calories without progress. Proper nutrition made me view food as fuel rather than something to fear or restrict. Rest days were another crucial part of my routine. I realized that overtraining with just HIIT or cardio wasn’t sustainable for growth or recovery. Giving muscles time to heal allowed me to lift heavier and push myself safely week after week. If you're struggling to see results despite lots of cardio and calorie cutting, this could be your sign to try lifting heavy and nourishing your body fully. Focus on strength, progression, and intelligently using food to support your goals. This approach not only transformed my physique from September 2024 to August 2026 but also changed my mindset around fitness and self-care. It’s not about being smaller anymore; it’s about being stronger, more resilient, and finally proud of what my body can achieve.
