Water Safety Reminder for All the Parents 💧👶
It only takes seconds. And it can happen in complete silence.
With the summer heat in full swing, our kids are in the water more than ever — pools, lakes, sprinklers, you name it. But this is just a gentle reminder: drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in kids under 5. And it often happens when we least expect it.
A few safety tips we follow as a family:
• Always be within arm’s reach of little ones in the water (even if they “know how to swim”).
• No floaties as a replacement for supervision — they can give a false sense of security.
• Teach kids how to enter and exit the pool safely.
• Designate a “Water Watcher” — someone whose only job is to watch the kids (no phones, no distractions).
• Enroll in swim lessons early — it’s never too soon to start water survival skills!
