2B Bike License TP Test (First and Second Attempt)
Hello fellow riders!
I’ve finally passed my TP test and i can’t wait to get out there with you guys and ride on the road 🤩
For today, I’ll tell you about how the flow went for me and provide some tips for how to prepare yourself for your TP test day 🫡 without further ado, let’s get to it!
Before your TP test:
Please report at least 15 to 30 minutes earlier so you have more time to yourself to use the bathroom, smoke etc.
i suggest being seated at the motorcycle office by 6:50 so that you can register at the window area.
At 7:00 am, you will register by going to the window and handing over your IC to the instructor. (Don’t worry as they will give it back after) at the same time, they will also give you your tag number for the test.
Next, they will brief you on what to do with your tag and what to do when you need to go toilet. As there are around 55 candidates, you most likely need to share bikes (for CB125 only) for MSX riders highly likely won’t need but depends on the day of the test.
After the briefing at around 8 or 9, they will call up the first batch of riders to do warm up which are tag numbers 1 to 35 (i think) and the MSX riders. The other half will wait until being called to go out and exchange bikes with the other riders.
After the last half of riders have returned from warm ups, there will be another briefing regarding the circuit test and its components. Use this opportunity to ask any lingering questions you may have to the instructors.
Oh! And more importantly, try and talk with your fellow candidates. It helps with the nerves and information sharing.
Lastly, one of the actual TP tester will brief the whole room regarding the test and will give back your IC before the circuit assessment.
During the TP circuit test:
Honestly not much to do other than follow what was briefed and do your best! Yes you may make mistakes here and there, but don’t dwell on them. Keep going and finish the assessment 🙏
After finishing the assessment, you’ll gather at the motorcycle office and the waiting game begins 💀 lemme tell you they really were not kidding about the waiting. Everyone got delayed so we waited till 10:30 for the circuit results.
For the results, they will first call out those with immediate failure where you will have to leave the room and follow the instructor. A few more minutes later, they will call out those with 20 and more demerit points. Those whose tags weren’t called out, you’ll be moving on to the road assessment.
Before the road test:
You will be briefed on the road route and components. This time though, no bike sharing and all the problematic bikes will be taken out and replaced with better ones.
During the road test:
You’ll be on your own for the test so no stopping like in 7.01. Just follow the route, remember your general riding and you’ll be fine!
After the road test:
You’ll gather at level 3, classroom 4 where they will release the result and same as before, if they call your tag out means you’ll need to retake. Other than that, congratulations! You’ve passed your TP test and can move on to the EFR.
Expressway Familiarisation Ride:
its basically like 6.01, but day time and you’ll be going onto the expressway in a staggered formation. Its not tested so you’ll be okay if you make certain mistakes as the instructors with me didn’t care at all anymore 😂😂, just make sure you follow and pay attention to the instructors and always BE SAFE on the road and you’ll be okay!
With that, this will most likely be my final post here unless I’m up to post some biker content on bikes or whatever. Thank you all so much for following me throughout this whole journey and hope that you’ve learnt something from me at the same time ☺️ thank you guys and see yall on the road!
Yours truly,
James
Ride safe everyone!
