21 weeks pregnant 🤰🏾 with my second child 🤎
This pregnancy is going by pretty fast 🥰 I don’t know what the gender is yet but I’m ready to start shopping. My due date is March 2025. #pregnantandpretty #pregnancy #pregnantlife
Hey everyone! Since I'm already 21 weeks pregnant with my second child, I wanted to share a deeper dive into what this stage feels like, especially now that I'm fully into my 'pregnant era' of the second trimester. For those curious about the 'hello second trimester' feeling, it's truly a breath of fresh air after the first few months! The second trimester, which typically runs from week 13 to week 27, is often called the 'golden trimester' for a reason. After enduring some significant nausea and fatigue earlier on, I've noticed a wonderful surge in energy. Most of that early pregnancy discomfort has eased up, leaving me with more vitality. It’s when you really start to feel and see your pregnancy progress, and it makes all those early symptoms worthwhile. At 21 weeks pregnant, my belly is definitely showing! For those wondering 'when do you start showing pregnant,' with my second baby, it feels like I started showing much earlier than with my first. My 21 weeks pregnant belly is a prominent bump now, and it's exciting to watch it grow. I'm also really feeling those baby kicks now, and they're becoming stronger and more frequent each day. It’s such a magical connection to feel those little flutters and nudges. Around 21 weeks, your little one is growing so much! They're about the size of a large banana or a carrot – quite a change from, say, 'how big is a baby at 14 weeks' when they were just a small lemon. Their senses are developing, they can hear sounds from outside the womb, and their tiny lungs are maturing. It's fascinating to think about this 'real 21 weeks pregnant baby' inside, wiggling around and getting ready for the world. You might even feel them hiccup sometimes! Being 21 weeks pregnant with a second baby is a unique experience. While some things are similar, like the overwhelming excitement and love, others are different. You tend to feel movements earlier, and your body remembers what to do, sometimes leading to showing sooner. Managing a toddler while pregnant is a whole new adventure, but also so rewarding knowing they'll have a sibling! The exhaustion hits differently when you can't just rest whenever you want, but the joy of seeing your family grow makes it all worth it. Even though we don't know the gender yet, I'm already dreaming of nursery ideas and starting to make my shopping list. This 'pregnant era' is all about embracing the changes and preparing for the arrival of our new family member. For anyone looking for '2nd trimester drawing' inspiration or just curious about this stage, I hope sharing my journey helps you feel a little more connected. It's a truly special time of anticipation and growth. What are your favorite parts of the second trimester, or what surprised you most? I'd love to hear your experiences as well!
