My February Reads🌷🫶🏽😇

It's true, balancing a full-time job with a passion for reading can feel like an Olympic sport! My February Reads recap might show I managed to complete 6 books, totaling a whopping 46 hours and 2,298 pages, but trust me, it wasn't always smooth sailing. I often see those massive reading lists and can't help but feel a little behind, so I wanted to share my realistic approach to hitting my reading goal last month. One of the biggest game-changers for me has been embracing small pockets of time. Even just 15-20 minutes during my lunch break, while waiting for the kettle to boil, or right before bed makes a huge difference. I also found audiobooks to be absolute lifesavers for my commute or while I'm tackling chores around the house – that's how I managed to devour some of my longer reads without feeling like I was sacrificing precious leisure time. Now, let's talk about the books themselves! This February was a fantastic mix of genres that kept me utterly engrossed. For romance lovers, I absolutely devoured The Final Rose and the epic Pack Darling Part One and Part Two series. These were brilliant for their captivating storylines and fantastic tropes like Slowburn and Enemies To Lovers. If you're into Sports Romance or even a touch of Dark Fantasy, you really need to check those out. I also ventured into some thrilling reads with Deep End and Elevator Pitch, which were perfect for keeping me hooked during those short, intense reading bursts. And for something truly expansive and magical, Dawn of Onyx was a definite standout for my February stack. I used to feel so much pressure to finish every single book I started, but I've learned it's perfectly okay to put a book down if it's not grabbing you. Life's too short to force yourself through stories that don't spark joy! Despite my occasional struggles with consistency, I was genuinely thrilled with every single book I picked up this past February. They provided that much-needed escape and entertainment after demanding workdays. If you’re also a busy reader trying to reach your own goals, my biggest piece of advice is to be kind to yourself. Some months you’ll fly through books, others you might only get to one or two, and that’s completely fine. The most important thing is to enjoy the journey and the stories you discover.
