Ingredients: All-purpose flour:150 grams
Baking Soda:2 grams
Salt: 3 grams
Unsalted butter:85 grams
Brown sugar:194 grams
Water:5 grams
Semi-sweet Chocolate*: 193 grams
Vanilla extract:5 grams
Eggs: 113 grams
Detailed Steps: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
2. Prepare an 8 in. x 8 in. square pan lightly sprayed with parchment on the bottom, or alternatively with a parchment sling
3. In a small saucepan, combine the water, brown sugar, and butter heat until everything is melted and mixed thoroughly.
4. Sift the flour, salt, and baking soda, set aside.
5. Remove the pot from the heat, add the chocolate, whisking until completely melted, add the vanilla.
6. Transfer the mixture to a medium large stainless steel bowl, set aside to cool to approximately 85 °F.
7. Add the eggs to the chocolate mixture and whisk to combine.
8. Add the dry ingredients all at once, starting with the whisk and switching to a spatula as it thickens, mix until combined. If you are adding inclusion, fold them at this point.
9. Pour into the prepared pan. With an offset spatula, level out the batter making sure to push it into the corners of the pan.
10. Bake for approximately 30 minutes at 350°F. Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick or skewer to check for moist crumbs.
If moist crumbs are present, the brownie is done and can be removed from the oven. If not, continue baking and testing every few minutes until moist crumbs are present when performing the toothpick test. Make sure to not overbake.
11. Cool for about 15 minutes before cutting
