First year check up STRESS

Sooo the doctors have always been worried about my sons head size… it’s off the charts big I guess. I already drove 3 hours to get a head ultrasound done which came back “enlarged axial spaces in brain” but no other concerns. Now a new pediatrician saw me this time and has a whole new slew of tests he would like to do. Since Zeke only says like 3 words and he wants him saying 4-5 by now… I don’t think he’s behind with language development. Ugh I hate having to worry constantly about my babies! It’s a tough job being a mommy!!#lemon8diarychallenge

... Read moreThe first year of a child's life is filled with milestones and numerous doctor appointments, which can be a source of stress for many parents. Common concerns involve growth patterns, developmental milestones, and overall health assessments. Parents often find themselves navigating the complexities of medical advice, especially when it comes to interpreting results and understanding what they mean for their child's future health. This uncertainty can be magnified in situations where a child exhibits atypical development, such as delayed speech or unusual growth measurements like head size. It's essential to understand that every child develops at their own pace, and many factors can influence this. Engaging openly with pediatricians, asking questions, and participating in discussions about your child's health can empower parents to make informed decisions. Moreover, reassurance can come from connecting with other parents who share similar experiences. Building a supportive community fosters resilience and helps alleviate stress, making parenthood a more manageable journey. Support resources, such as parenting groups and professional guidance, can further assist in navigating these challenges. Remember, your wellbeing matters; seek help when you feel overwhelmed, and take time to prioritize your mental health.

No worries! My grandson grew into his head & would fall over because his head was so big. I told him when kids tease! The bigger the head the bigger the brain the smarter you are. He’s now a multimillionaire 😍😍😍

This image explains "The Zeigarnik Effect," stating that the brain remembers unfinished tasks almost twice as well as finished ones. It clarifies that unfinished tasks include chores, worries, ideas, conversations, or anything 'open' in your mind.
This slide defines the "Brain Dump" technique as getting everything out of your head and onto paper or a digital document. It explains that writing things down offloads them from working memory, freeing up mental energy and quieting the brain.
