Run healthy? But why is running more stressful?

Run healthy? But why is running more stressful?

Many people start running for very simple reasons, want to be healthier, want to be stronger, want to have personal time, want to use running as a mind space from a mess.

But enough to run for a while

Some people start to feel that....

Gotta run faster.

Must run farther.

Gotta pace better.

More jobs need to be done.

There must be pictures, there must be statistics, there must be results to see all the time.

From what used to make us comfortable

Running gradually becomes another thing we put pressure on ourselves.

The question is?

Are we really running healthy, or are we putting another kind of stress into running?

The truth is, running is not wrong.

But "how we use running" is probably going the wrong way.

Some people are not stressed because of running, but stressed because they take running to tie up with too much self-proof.

Running slowly feels guilty.

Rest feels like lazy.

Seeing other people practice harder than not feeling

Seeing others, better pace, began to wonder if they weren't good enough.

Although we didn't start running to beat anyone at first....We just want to take better care of ourselves.

This is where many runners unknowingly start to get lost.

Healthy running. Shouldn't scare us to rest.

Shouldn't make us feel guilty about easy running.

Shouldn't it wake us up worried about whether today's numbers are good enough?

Nor should it make us feel that our own worth depends on the pace on the screen.

Because health is not just the heart, lungs, muscles or VO2 Max.

Health includes the state of mind, nervous system, sleep, recovery, and the relationship we have with ourselves.

Running and getting tired might be normal.

But if you run and get frustrated, sleep badly, burn out, feel guilty all the time, or don't enjoy what you once loved,

That may not just be "hard practice," but it may be a sign that we are carrying too much stress.

Sometimes the problem isn't with the rehearsal program.

But at the mindset we carry to run with.

We ran to take care of ourselves.

Or run to pursue the image of the runner we think we should be?

We run healthy.

Or run to make yourself feel valued?

We run for happiness.

Or run for fear of falling out?

Being a good runner doesn't mean training hard all the time.

But to know when to push yourself.

And when to put the ego down.

Easy run is not a soft run.

A rest day is not an excuse.

Running slower doesn't mean we're backwards.

And not posting statistics doesn't mean the day is meaningless.

Some of the best days of the run.

Probably not the most beautiful pace date.

But it could be the day we go home with a lighter mind.

Finally,

If we start running healthy,

Don't let the run become another pitch where we have to prove ourselves all the time.

Because of a good run....

Should not make us run away from ourselves....But it should help us come back to understand ourselves more.

Running is not escape.

Running is REFLECTION.
