Classic Deviled Eggs
Ingredients:
• 6 large eggs
• 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
• 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
• 1 teaspoon white vinegar
• Salt, to taste
• Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
• Paprika, for garnish
Instructions:
1. Hard-boil the eggs: Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10-12 minutes.
2. Cool and peel: Drain and place the eggs in cold water or an ice bath. Once cool, peel the eggs carefully.
3. Prepare the filling: Slice eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork, then add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
4. Fill the eggs: Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
5. Garnish: Sprinkle lightly with paprika. Serve chilled.

Cucumber Open-Face Sandwich on Sourdough
Ingredients:
• 4 slices sourdough bread, lightly toasted
• 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 1 English cucumber, thinly sliced
• Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
• Salt, to taste
• Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. Toast the bread: Lightly toast the sourdough slices until just golden and slightly crisp.
2. Spread the cream cheese: Evenly spread cream cheese over each slice while the bread is still slightly warm.
3. Add cucumbers: Arrange cucumber slices in a single, slightly overlapping layer on top of the cream cheese.
4. Season: Drizzle with a small amount of olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
