📝 Ingredients:
1.25 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-size cubes
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp olive oil
12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
2 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
½ cup heavy cream (or half & half for lighter)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped (plus more for garnish)
🔥 Instructions:
Cook the Tortellini:
Boil tortellini according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Sear the Steak Bites:
Season steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear steak bites 1–2 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
Build the Tomato Basil Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in crushed tomatoes, cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 4–5 minutes until rich and creamy.
Bring It Together:
Add tortellini to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Fold in fresh basil.
Finish & Serve:
Return steak bites to the skillet. Garnish with more basil and Parmesan. Serve hot and enjoy!
