1st semester Host Family Needed!!

Have you ever thought about hosting an exchange student, but you can't commit to a whole school year? Johanna would love to join your family for the first semester!

Johanna is a 16yo exchange student from Germany who loves Dancing, Singing, and Musical Theater. Imagine sharing in the joys of music with an exuberant young lady like her! Do you like relaxing in the evening and doing some yarn work? You could sit side by side, creating beautiful items together!

Johanna would come to you with an open heart, a desire to learn, spending money, and her own insurance. She's happy to share a room with a host sister and ride the school bus.

If you'd like more information about hosting Johanna or one of the other amazing students in our program, DM me here, email me at J.Lascari@ie-usa.org, or call/text me today!

(Per the Department of State regulations, this is not an actual photo of Johanna.)

... Read moreHosting an exchange student can be an incredibly fulfilling experience, both for the host family and the student. Johanna is enthusiastic about embracing American culture and is eager to share her own German traditions. She actively participates in creative activities such as dancing and singing, which can foster a beautiful bond with her host family. Additionally, hosting students contributes to cultural exchange and understanding, bridging gaps between different backgrounds. This opportunity not only enriches the student’s life but also provides the host family with a unique perspective on international cultures. Students like Johanna come prepared with their own insurance and spending money, minimizing the financial impact on host families. As a host family, you will have the chance to create lasting memories while supporting Johanna during her educational journey. Engaging in shared activities, such as arts and crafts or sports, can enhance your relationship and create wonderful experiences. Potential host families should also consider the emotional richness that comes from hosting a young person eager to learn and grow. To explore this opportunity further, connect with your local exchange programs, and understand the requirements and commitment involved. Exchange programs are essential in promoting global citizenship and understanding, making it an essential contribution to a better world.
