Deciding to limit the sharing of my facial images online has been a deeply personal choice. In today's digitally connected world, maintaining a sense of privacy can be challenging yet essential for mental well-being. I’ve noticed that constantly sharing photos with my face made me feel exposed and sometimes anxious about public perception. By stepping back, I aim to regain control over my digital presence and focus more on the content itself rather than appearance. This doesn’t mean I’ll stop sharing completely. Occasionally, I might post a photo with my face, especially for meaningful moments or casual photo dumps. But the shift is about prioritizing my comfort and mental health, which many people can relate to. It’s important to listen to our own boundaries and adjust our online habits accordingly. For others considering this change, it can be helpful to start gradually—perhaps by sharing fewer close-up selfies or using alternate means of expression like text, artwork, or landscape photos. This balance helps maintain connection with followers while protecting personal space. Ultimately, using social media in a way that feels right for you is key to a positive experience.
