Every time we finish a session, he'll be like, 'Man, today was just a warm-up. Tomorrow, I'm going to absolutely crush it. New PRs on everything!' And I'm sitting there thinking, 'Didn't you say that yesterday?' It's a running joke between us now. Just yesterday, he claimed his cat gave him a look that demanded extra cuddles, thus delaying his morning run. Can't argue with that, I guess? 😂 This 'training starts tomorrow' mindset is a truly universal gym experience. It’s part of the humor and camaraderie within the fitness community. We all know 'who's this guy' – he’s in every gym, every friend group, making grand declarations. While it can be a little frustrating if you're trying to achieve goals together, it's also a fantastic reminder not to take everything too seriously. Fitness should be enjoyable, and a little chuckle at our own (or our friends') procrastination habits can keep spirits high. But on a more serious note, if you find yourself constantly saying 'I'll start tomorrow,' maybe it's time to re-evaluate. Try breaking down your goals into smaller, more manageable steps. Instead of 'I'll crush a two-hour workout tomorrow,' perhaps aim for 'I'll do 20 minutes of cardio' or 'I'll just focus on form for 3 sets.' The key is to make the initial step less intimidating.
