MOM HOT TAKE: let’s bounce back

in my personal opinion as a mom who’s bounced back after two, i think moms should TOTALLY do so for their own personal reasons and for their kids.

not saying you HAVE to work out immediately. everyone’s body is completely different and heals differently. everyone looks at it like it’s negative. or often think we’re shaming other moms who don’t look like us.

you can regain control of your body.

you’ve gone through some intense changes during pregnancy and after birth. and it kinda makes you feel like your body isn’t your own anymore. working out and bouncing back and make you feel like YOU again.

some women love their postpartum body, i HATED mine. i wasn’t used to seeing myself look bigger than normal. so i worked out and gained my confidence and energy back!

it’s perfect for self care. and helps a ton with stress, anxiety, and depression. it’s not always about looks but mental clarity. your kids deserve a mom who isn’t depressed or filled with anxiety.

you’re also setting an example for your kids. it models healthy habits. such as prioritizing wellness. it’s ok to bounce back and be healthy for you and your kids.

I believe the stigma with bouncing back is how long it takes. Some women are blessed to literally go back to pre pregnancy weight within a week of giving birth and some take 2-5 years! We have to remember to factor in hormones too.
