this didn’t work for me, try this (niacinamide)
Niacinamide is a great skincare ingredient to look for if you’re wanting to brighten your skin or fade dark spots. My recommendations for products that include niacinamide would be the Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner and AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum. Both are suitable for sensitive skin! However, I wouldn’t recommend niacinamide from The Ordinary.

In my experience incorporating niacinamide into my skincare routine, I've found that not all formulations are created equal, especially when you have sensitive or acne-prone skin. For instance, while my skin did not respond well to The Ordinary's Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, switching to products with a gentler formulation made a noticeable difference. Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner and AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum stood out because they combine niacinamide with other soothing ingredients like Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, which helps enhance skin brightness and fade dark spots without causing irritation. It's essential to note that activating niacinamide in the correct concentration and pairing it with complementary ingredients can improve effectiveness while minimizing redness or breakouts. For those with dry or combination skin types who are also sensitive, I recommend patch-testing products first and introducing niacinamide gradually into your routine. Additionally, combining niacinamide with gentle exfoliants or hydrating serums can amplify the brightening effect and improve overall skin texture. Remember, while niacinamide is a fantastic ingredient for skin brightening and spot correction, choosing the right product based on your skin's unique needs is crucial. Don't hesitate to experiment with formulations but always opt for reliable brands known for gentle yet effective skincare solutions.
