Make Brow Eyes Pop
Having brown eyes I sometimes feel envious of those with vibrant blue or green eyes and want to find a way to make my own eyes pop. Here are the ways I’ve found to bring out your brown eyed beauty :)
Purple: using purple eyeshadow or eyeliner is a sharp contrast with brown.
Yellow: I like to use yellow liner in my water line or eyeshadow around the inner corners of my eyes
Blue: playing around with blue eyeshadow and eyeliner works the same as purple, I also found that using blue mascara on my bottom lashes is a fun touch
Black: black eyeliner in the waterline and or a Smokey eye is never a bad choice
I don’t own any of these pics I found them on Pinterest
Having brown eyes is truly beautiful, but sometimes I feel like they need a little extra something to really sparkle. I've spent a lot of time experimenting with different makeup looks to find what makes them truly pop, and I'm thrilled to share my extended findings beyond the basics! Deep Dive into Purple Power: Purple is arguably the best contrasting color for brown eyes, making them look richer and more vibrant. I've found that plum, lavender, or deep violet eyeshadows can truly transform brown eyes. For a stunning evening look, I love using a shimmery plum on my lid and blending a matte deep purple into the crease for depth. For a more subtle daytime vibe, a thin line of purple eyeliner along my upper lash line works wonders. It really brings out the golden or amber undertones in my brown eyes, creating an almost magical effect. Don't be afraid to play with different shades – a lighter lavender can be surprisingly brightening, especially on the inner half of the lid. Brightening with Yellow Hues: Yellow might sound intimidating, but it’s a secret weapon for brown eyes! I often use a soft, shimmery gold-yellow in the inner corners of my eyes to instantly brighten and make them look more awake. This simple trick alone can make my eyes appear larger and more luminous. For a playful touch, a pop of pastel yellow eyeliner on the lower lash line can create a beautiful, unexpected contrast that makes the brown incredibly rich and warm. It’s definitely one of those makeup looks that gets compliments! Cool Tones with Blue: Blue is another fantastic color that works wonders. A deep navy blue eyeliner can make the whites of your eyes appear brighter, giving a fresh, wide-awake look. I've also experimented with a vibrant cobalt blue eyeshadow blended subtly on the outer corner for a bold statement, which is perfect for a night out. For something simple but effective, a touch of blue mascara on just the bottom lashes, as previously mentioned, is a fun and easy way to add that pop without going full glam. Teal and sapphire shades also offer a beautiful contrast. Classic Definition with Black: While black is a classic for definition, there are ways to make it do more than just outline. A smudged black kohl eyeliner gives a softer, smokier effect that’s incredibly alluring and really emphasizes the eye's shape. For an instant lift and a more dramatic effect, a crisp black winged eyeliner is my go-to. It frames the eye beautifully and makes the brown stand out with its strong, defining contrast. Don't underestimate the power of a perfectly applied black line to make your brown eyes the focal point. How to Make Brown Eyes Pop Naturally (Beyond Makeup): Beyond using specific eyeshadows and eyeliners, I've found a few simple tricks to make my brown eyes sparkle naturally. Getting enough sleep and staying hydrated are key – well-rested eyes just glow differently! I always make sure my eyebrows are neatly groomed and filled in; well-defined brows frame the eyes perfectly and can make them appear more open. Curling my lashes, even without mascara, opens up my eyes dramatically. And for a quick fix, a nude or white eyeliner on the waterline really brightens the eye area, making the irises stand out even more. Sometimes, a little undereye concealer to banish dark circles is all you need to make your brown eyes the star of the show! Experimenting with these shades, from vibrant eyeshadows to precise eyeliners, has been a game-changer for me. Don't be afraid to mix and match or try different makeup looks and styles. Each of these can bring out a different facet of your beautiful brown eyes. It’s all about finding what makes your brown eyes truly shine!
