Adventures in Iceland!

These are some things I really enjoyed on my trip to Iceland 🩵

1/ Blue Lagoon- this is a definite must!! The whole experience is like a day at the spa..a mystical giant thermal spa! Definitely get a mask and drink when you’re there..soo relaxing and beautiful.

2/ skogafoss waterfall- I booked a day trip that included a tour of many natural wonders..skogafoss was one of my favorite waterfalls .. tip; bring good hiking shoes and an umbrella/raincoat .

3/ go to a black sand beach -so cool! I felt like I was in another world. This was also included in my tour so I would definitely recommend a day trip..you can find awesome tours through viator✨

4/ have a delicious breakfast at sandholt. They had so many good bakery items and coffees/teas..the avocado toast was a 10/10.

5/ walk the rainbow road! The city of Reykjavik is very charming with so many little shops and cute restaurants and along the path you will find the beautifully painted 🌈

6/ Enjoy dinner at Tres locos- although this is not iconic Icelandic food, this was so delicous and fresh ! The vibe here was also ⭐️Overall rating: 10/10 #mexicanfoodiniceland

I was in Iceland for 4 days.. I would say it was a good amount of time to do a bit of exploring for a first time visit. Next time I would definitely take a whale watching and sea cruise!

... Read moreIceland is a land of striking landscapes and unique experiences. The Blue Lagoon is often at the top of travelers' lists, known for its relaxing thermal waters surrounded by a volcanic landscape. Booking a mask treatment can enhance your spa experience, creating a perfect blend of beauty and tranquility. Another highlight is Skogafoss, one of Iceland's largest waterfalls; taking a guided day tour can help you uncover its natural beauty while ensuring you have the right gear, such as sturdy hiking shoes and a raincoat, to fully enjoy this adventure. Visiting the iconic black sand beaches adds to the feeling of being on another planet. Tours like those found on Viator offer convenience and expert guidance for these stunning sights. When you're ready to refuel, stop at Sandholt in Reykjavik for a fantastic breakfast, and don't miss their acclaimed avocado toast. Reykjavik itself is a charming city filled with picturesque streets, including the famous Rainbow Road that showcases vibrant murals and local shops. While dining options are plentiful, consider trying Tres Locos for fresh flavors that might surprise you, even if they’re not traditional Icelandic fare. With a four-day itinerary, there’s ample opportunity to explore, and next time consider adding whale watching or a thrilling sea cruise to your plans for an even richer experience in this breathtaking destination.
