How I took controlBack PT 1
Ending of December 2024, I decided to get serious with my life. Post grad, I was so tired that all I wanted was stability and room to be lazy. In doing so I gained weight, accumulated debt and lost confidence. Here is how I slowly worked on all of this Q1 of 2025.
In December 2024, I made a significant decision to prioritize my health and well-being. After completing my degree, I felt overwhelmed and lost, resulting in weight gain and financial stress. I started my health journey during the challenging holiday season, aiming to test my resolve and eventually lost 11 pounds in just 14 days. I adopted a low-carb diet, limiting my intake to about 30 grams of carbohydrates daily, while ensuring I reached my protein goals of 84 grams per day. Meal prepping became a crucial part of my routine, as it enabled me to make healthier choices and resist the temptation of fast food. I tried delicious new recipes, including a lettuce-wrapped burger and cauliflower pizza, which helped me realize that healthy eating can be enjoyable. In addition to dietary changes, I incorporated quick 5-minute exercises to build self-control and develop good habits. These exercises not only helped me physically but also mentally, reinforcing my commitment to this lifestyle change. Creating a morning routine was another game-changer. By waking up and sleeping earlier, I found the energy and motivation to pursue my goals. The journey has not just been about losing weight; it’s been about regaining confidence and taking charge of my life.
