got my makeup done in China
lmk if you want a part two for the second look 💕 video intro IB: @garbozhu
During my makeup session in Shenzhen, I was fascinated by the distinct approach Chinese makeup artists take, especially in how they use products like white foundation to brighten the forehead and cheeks before applying any base. This technique instantly gave my skin a luminous and fresh appearance, which was quite different from my usual routine. The contouring also intrigued me—there was a precise line placed between the eyebrow and outer eye area designed to visually lift the skin upward and frame the eyes, enhancing their natural shape. One interesting detail was the tight lining of the top lash line with a lighter color rather than my typical dark black wing, which created a softer and more natural fox eye effect. Even though this look was new to me, I appreciated the artistry behind it and how it highlighted different facial features than I am used to emphasizing. What I really enjoyed was how the makeup artist focused on the Cupid's bow by smudging color upward before applying lipstick, which made my lips appear fuller and more defined. Overall, the session included two very different styles: a soft glam that felt delicate and feminine, and a sultry, sexy baddie look that was bold and striking. This variety showed me how versatile Chinese makeup techniques can be. For anyone curious about exploring Chinese makeup trends, I recommend being patient and open-minded with the process—the techniques may feel unfamiliar at first, but they offer fresh ways to enhance your natural beauty.
