Big Back Big Back 🤣
Don't let the election distract you from the fact that your back is still big !!😄 😆
I'm kidding but seriously things may not have turned out the way you wanted but life has to continue.
We can't control a lot of things in this life but I'm happy to know that I am in control of my mental and physical health.
For this workout the weight is all over the place...literally used 5 pounds for some exercises and used 15-20 for others. Just use the highest weight you can use without compromising your form and do 4 sets until failure.
Sending everyone good vibes since I'm sure it's about to be a lot of weirdos doing what they do today ✌🏾

Hey everyone! I often find that my back day workouts are not just about building strength, but also about giving my mind a much-needed break. After my recent session, I wanted to share a bit more about how I approach my at-home back routine, especially for those looking to get started or just refine their technique. When I say '4 sets until failure,' what I mean is pushing myself until I can't complete another rep with good form. It sounds intense, but it's a fantastic way to stimulate muscle growth. I usually pick a weight where I can comfortably get 8-12 reps before hitting that point. If you're new, don't worry about 'failure' right away. Focus on mastering the movement first, then gradually increase the weight or reps. For me, it’s about listening to my body and not pushing through pain. Speaking of form, it's absolutely vital, especially for back exercises to prevent injury. I always try to do my workouts in front of a mirror or even record myself sometimes. This helps me ensure my back is straight, my core is engaged, and I'm not using momentum instead of muscle. For dumbbell rows, for example, I focus on squeezing my shoulder blades together at the top of the movement, rather than just pulling with my arms. A slight bend in the knees and a flat back are non-negotiable for me! To give you some ideas, besides what I mentioned in my post, here are a couple of my favorite dumbbell exercises for a comprehensive back day at home: Bent-Over Dumbbell Rows: This is a classic for a reason. Hinge at your hips, keep your back flat, and pull the dumbbells towards your hips. Feel that squeeze! Single-Arm Dumbbell Rows: Great for isolating each side and identifying any imbalances. I place one hand and knee on a bench or sturdy chair for support. Dumbbell Pullovers: Lie on a bench with a dumbbell held with both hands above your chest. Slowly lower it overhead behind you, feeling the stretch in your lats, then pull it back up. It’s a unique way to target your lats. Dumbbell Reverse Flyes: If you have lighter dumbbells, these are excellent for your upper back and rear deltoids. Bend over with a flat back, slight bend in elbows, and lift the dumbbells out to the sides like wings. Before diving into these, I always do a quick warm-up – maybe 5 minutes of light cardio like jumping jacks or arm circles, followed by some dynamic stretches for my shoulders and upper back. And after, a good stretch is a must to aid recovery and flexibility. As I progress, I'll either increase the weight slightly (if available) or try to increase my reps within a set. Sometimes, I'll even add an extra set if I'm feeling strong. Remember, consistency is key, and even small improvements add up. It’s not just about how your back looks, but how strong and capable you feel. For me, these workouts are a powerful reminder that I can control my health and well-being, no matter what else is going on around me. Stay strong and keep those good vibes flowing!
