Recovery Flow
My favorite part of every morning!
Yoga really is my non negotiable. Even on the days I don't feel like doing anything I still squeeze in at least 10 minutes of yoga.
Why? Yoga is not only good for my arthritis but it really helps my mental and overall recovery.
It's my daily deposit of good energy. It's my time to just stop and focus on me even if it's just a small moment.
I'm naturally a calm, good vibes only person but life has a way of trying to take you out of character and yoga keeps me grounded through the good, bad, and ugly.
This session was super intentional for healing of my glute tear. The foam rolling was added to really get into the spot where the most pain is coming from. It's still not 100% and some days it hurts more than others but I'm not letting it stop me from working towards these goals. I will always recommend yoga even if it's just a few minutes...the benefits are just too good to not share.
Happy Wednesday and Namaste 🙏 💕
Incorporating yoga into a daily routine can dramatically enhance both physical and mental recovery. From my own experience, setting aside even just 10 minutes each morning to engage in targeted yoga stretches helps alleviate arthritis symptoms while nurturing a calm and balanced mindset. The intentional use of foam rolling techniques complements yoga by focusing on specific pain points, such as those caused by a glute tear. What I've found particularly valuable is the consistency of practice: even on days when motivation is low, prioritizing this small slice of self-care acts as a powerful deposit of positive energy. Yoga encourages mindfulness and body awareness that enables me to manage discomfort more effectively and stay grounded through life's ups and downs. This dual approach—yoga combined with foam rolling—not only addresses immediate pain but supports long-term healing by improving circulation, reducing muscle tightness, and enhancing mobility. Moreover, yoga's mental benefits should not be underestimated. Each session is a chance to pause and refocus on personal well-being, which has been essential for maintaining a good-vibes mindset despite challenges. For anyone dealing with injuries or chronic pain conditions, I recommend customizing your yoga routine to address your specific areas of discomfort and gradually increasing duration as healing progresses. Ultimately, this recovery flow creates a sustainable habit that fosters resilience. Whether you're managing arthritis or aiming to recover from muscular injuries like a glute tear, integrating yoga and complementary techniques such as foam rolling offers a holistic path to improved health and vitality. Keep a mindful approach, listen to your body's signals, and remember that small intentional efforts build up over time to make a significant difference.
