Camp Review Tcp Spirit Volunteer AGUARD 3 Days 2 Nights

Today will tell you about the experience of going to the tcp spirit camp, "Volunteer Aguard Kapp Himmoi, Chiang Dao, studying community forest stories," November 14-16, 2025, at Chiang Mai.

Day 1 Travel by sleeping train from BMA - Chiang Mai

- On the train between Chiang Mai, there will be activities for everyone to get to know all the volunteers, making it fun and not bored.

- 14 hours of travel to Chiang Mai, the troupe took to lunch at a vegetable garden restaurant.

Day 2 Travel to the forest, community house, bamboo forest.

- By leaving for the bamboo forest community to carry out a tree storage mission, starting with the measurement and storage of real data in the area using "sample transformation," which is a sample of the total area. Tree storage does not occur once. Repeat data every 3-5 years to track tree growth, and calculate how much each tree, including one sample plot, can store carbon, and then put the value into a formula to estimate how much carbon the total area can store.

- Mission 2, Volunteer Fire Prevention Mission. The fire protection line must be done in advance of the wildfire. It is different from the fire extinguishing line done at the time of the incident by cleaning up the area to the benthic layer as a long line, eliminating flammable fuels such as leaves, dry branches and weeds to create a blank line to stop the spread of the fire and reduce the severity of the wildfire.

Day 3 Travel to Ban Pha Lai community

- Beginning with getting to know the desert cliff community, he went on a carbon detective mission in the soil.

The soil acts as a carbon sequestration assistant, using the plant's photosynthesis process to convert carbon dioxide (CO2) in the air into energy, and then store it in plants. Carbon in the form of roots, leaves, stems, and plant remains is gradually decomposed and deposited into the soil in the form of organic matter, a process called soil carbon sequestration.

- Special Problem Activities, with each group volunteering together, discussing and presenting on what has been received and how to apply it.

- And finally, traveling back to BMA on the same train.

In summary, we are very impressed with this camp. It is a good camp, good accommodation, delicious food, tight activities, tight knowledge, practical actions. Importantly free of charge!!
