WHAT I READ IN A WEEK☺️✨

2025/11/8 Edited to

... Read moreAfter a busy week filled with midterms, I finally got the chance to dive into some books that had been sitting on my TBR (to be read) list for ages. It feels so rewarding to take that time and immerse myself fully in stories that transport you away from daily stresses. One standout was a summer-themed book that I read almost entirely in one sitting — it was so gripping I laughed, cried, and wished it wouldn’t end. I also found myself captivated by a unique concept novel praised for its originality, even if the ending wasn’t exactly as I expected. The emotional depth and creativity made it a truly unputdownable read. Another book, a bestselling TikTok favorite featuring a hockey romance plot, was an interesting experience; although some parts felt a bit stretched, it was entertaining. YA (young adult) novels continue to hold a special place on my list. One I enjoyed was compared to "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue," which immediately caught my interest with its blend of supernatural elements and emotional narratives. The friends-to-lovers trope featured in one story was executed really well, giving the characters relatable growth and chemistry. What made these books even better was their range of styles and emotional tones—from heartwarming and funny to darkly thrilling. For anyone overwhelmed by too many new releases, I recommend focusing on books that resonate personally or come recommended by trusted creators. And if you’re like me, grouping your reads into themes or genres can make choosing your next book less daunting. If you’re looking for suggestions, these reads cover a lot of ground: from heartfelt summer romances to suspenseful thrillers with unexpected plot twists. Plus, being part of reading communities or book clubs, whether online or local, can enhance the experience by sharing perspectives and uncovering hidden gems. Ultimately, reading after a hectic time like exams isn’t just about finishing books—it’s about reconnecting with yourself and enjoying stories that move you. I encourage you to carve out that time for your TBR pile—you won’t regret it!
