🌸✨ **A Reflection on Motherhood and Expectations**
I came across a quote that really struck a chord with me:
*"It's not motherhood I'm stressed about... It's the expectations that I'm supposed to be able to do it all."*
This resonates so deeply. It’s the tug-of-war between wanting to be home with my family and the reality of spending so much time away. There never seem to be enough hours in the day to juggle everything—career aspirations, household responsibilities, and just finding a moment for myself.
I feel the weight of trying to save money when it seems like every penny goes to bills, the pressure to be happy in every moment while often feeling like I’m just trying to keep my head above water. And let’s not even talk about the guilt of sending my kids to daycare when they’re sick because I’ve run out of sick days myself.
It’s exhausting trying to be the perfect wife, mother, and employee while constantly feeling like I’m falling short. It can be so easy to look around and think everyone else has it figured out, but the truth is, we’re all just doing our best and navigating our own struggles.
So here’s to the imperfect journey of motherhood and the challenge of managing expectations. Let’s support each other in recognizing that it’s not about doing it all—it’s about doing what we can and being kind to ourselves in the process. 💖
