Back to school at 30 🎉
Sigh, I did it. After so much contemplation and back and forth on if this is something I can see myself focusing in at my age of 30, I made the decision to go back to school to get a degree in doing what I love.
Yes, I know the stigmas against even having a degree, the thousands of dollars that come with paying for classes & the countless hours just to sometimes not even have a job in the field you are graduating in. I was once one who also thought this way. But now, I just want better for my life and my experience in the work field was better when I was in Dallas. Since moving to Tulsa 4 years ago - I’ve noticed that a lot of jobs here require a degree or prefer it when looking at applicants. Not to say I’ll be here forever, but I have the time to put aside for school, so why not? I love marketing and figured I can make it something long term. Any tips on going back after a while? How to maintain focus? How to make sure to follow through? I am definitely open to any advice. I am nervous but totally excited for what the future may hold. #collegestudentover30 #olderstudent #lemon8school #lemon8college #collegeinyour30s #adviceforcollege #futuregoals
