Feeling tense in your neck + shoulders? 💆🏼‍♀️

Try this simple stretch! ✨👏🏻

This upper trapezius stretch is one of my go-tos for releasing tension 💆🏼‍♀️

How to do it:

1. Sit or stand tall

2. Drop your right ear toward your right shoulder

3. Gently guide your head with your right hand for a deeper stretch

4. Hold for 20–30 seconds

5. Repeat on the other side

Benefits:

• Helps reduce headaches

• Perfect for tech neck

... Read moreAre you experiencing discomfort in your neck and shoulders due to stress or prolonged sitting? Incorporating consistent stretching into your daily routine can be highly beneficial. The upper trapezius stretch you’re learning about not only alleviates tightness but also promotes better overall posture. Regularly stretching can reduce the chances of developing tech neck, a common issue arising from prolonged screen time. It’s an excellent way to counter the sedentary lifestyle that many face today, especially for those working at desks or on computers for long hours. In addition to this particular stretch, consider exploring other gentle exercises or yoga poses that focus on the neck, such as neck rolls or chin tucks, to further enhance mobility and relieve discomfort. Daily practice can lead to significant improvements in your neck health and overall well-being. Don’t forget to listen to your body; if you experience persistent pain, seeking professional advice from a healthcare provider or physical therapist can offer tailored guidance and therapies. Remember, the goal is not just to stretch but to foster a healthy and mindful approach to your physical health!
