The France you don’t see

I was an #exchangestudent in a city called Cape Ferret this summer!

I stayed for two weeks and loved #france but I noticed no one seems to speak of other beautiful cities like Bordeaux like they do Paris.

#frenchtrip and honestly I think I would go back to Bordeaux over Paris any day!

... Read moreWhile Paris remains the iconic symbol of France, the country's diverse regions like Bordeaux and Southern France hold rich cultural and natural treasures waiting to be explored. Bordeaux, renowned for its world-class vineyards and elegant architecture, captivates visitors seeking a blend of history, gastronomy, and picturesque riverfront views. Unlike the bustling streets of Paris, Bordeaux offers a more relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere, ideal for wine lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike. Southern France, including areas near Cape Ferret where the author stayed, boasts stunning coastal landscapes, charming villages, and a vibrant local culture. This region is celebrated for its seafood, oyster farms, and outdoor activities such as hiking and sailing, providing an authentic French experience away from tourist crowds. Travelers looking for a unique French adventure increasingly consider these destinations for their authenticity, accessibility, and diverse attractions. Visiting Bordeaux and Southern France allows one to savor gourmet cuisine, explore historical sites, and enjoy natural beauty in a way that complements, rather than competes with, Parisian allure. For those planning a #frenchtrip, venturing beyond Paris to Bordeaux and Southern France expands the possibilities of discovery. Whether you are an exchange student, a food and wine connoisseur, or simply a traveler eager to experience France's rich regional cultures, these lesser-known areas promise rewarding experiences that create lasting memories.
