Jesus, teach me to love like You.
This one… is heavy in the best way 🤍🔥
“HE KNEW… AND HE LOVED ANYWAY”
He knew.
Before the betrayal.
Before the denial.
Before everyone walked away…
He knew.
He knew who would sit at the table
and still turn on Him.
He knew who would promise loyalty
and then disappear under pressure.
He knew who would act close…
but carry something different in their heart.
And He still let them sit.
He still broke bread.
He still served them.
He still loved them.
📖 “While they were eating, Jesus said, ‘I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me.’” — Matthew 26:21 (NLT)
Let that settle.
He didn’t expose him.
He didn’t remove him.
He didn’t stop loving him.
🔥 That’s a kind of love most people don’t understand.
Because we love based on how people treat us.
Jesus loved
knowing how it would end.
He washed feet
that would walk away.
He fed someone
who would hand Him over.
He poured out love
in a room that held betrayal.
🤍 And here’s where this hits us:
Some of you have been hurt.
By people you trusted.
People you poured into.
People you showed up for.
And now your heart is guarded.
Closed off.
Careful.
Tired.
But Jesus shows us something deeper:
Love isn’t proven
when it’s easy.
It’s revealed
when it costs you something.
🔥 He didn’t love because they deserved it.
He loved because that’s who He is.
And that same love…
is what He’s calling us into.
Not weakness.
Not being walked over.
But a heart that doesn’t become bitter
just because it was hurt.
🤍 Final truth:
You were never Plan B.
He knew every failure.
Every mistake.
Every moment you would fall short…
And He still chose you.
🙏 PRAYER:
Jesus,
teach me to love like You.
Not based on how people treat me…
but rooted in who You are.
Heal the places in me that feel hurt…
and don’t let my heart grow hard.
Amen 🤍
