Breastfeeding

I’ve breastfed for 4 years non stop but I’ve been a feed on demand. Well I just had twin boys in May and I’ve accumulated 300+oz in just a week. I breastfeed, I also sell my milk to people near me for their babies. But if you’d like me to explain and give tips that I use to keep my supply going strong friend me, text me! I love helping moms out because it’s not easy. Over time it becomes easy but in the beginning it’s so so hard and whether you breastfeed or formula feed I am a “as long as the baby is fed” type of mom. No shame here! #feedingbabies #breastfedbabies #momsoftiktok #momsupportingmoms #Lemon8Diary

... Read moreBreastfeeding twins or multiples can be especially demanding, but it’s very possible to maintain a strong milk supply with the right approach. Many moms find that feeding on demand helps naturally regulate and increase milk production since it signals the body to produce more milk based on the baby’s needs. Tracking milk volume, as shown in sessions where milk output doubled over just a few days—from 70oz to over 200oz in some pumping sessions—highlights how supply can improve rapidly with consistent stimulation. For new moms struggling in the early days, remember it’s normal for breastfeeding to feel challenging. Patience and persistence—along with hydration, proper nutrition, and stress management—play crucial roles in supporting milk production. Some moms even choose to share or sell excess breast milk to other families in need, which speaks to the abundance that can be achieved. It’s important to have a supportive community or mentor to exchange tips and experiences, especially since breastfeeding journeys vary widely. Whether you exclusively breastfeed, use formula, or a combination of both, the key goal is ensuring your baby is well-fed and thriving. In summary, keeping milk supply strong involves frequent feeding or pumping sessions, monitoring output, and being gentle yet consistent. Don’t hesitate to reach out to lactation consultants or fellow moms for advice and encouragement, as early difficulties can be overcome. The rewarding experience of nourishing your twins through breastfeeding is achievable with time and support.

So this is what I did to build my supply. skin to skin. I recommend a hour of uninterrupted skin to skin! This increases volume! Eating. make sure you’re eating enough to sustain your hunger. I recommend eating beef jerky when you’re feeling snacky after a session. Pumping. Pump every 3 hours for at least 20 minutes don’t be discouraged if you get less than an ounce just keep on pumping! A breast massage while pumping also helps work milk out. Pump every 3 hours and wake up to pump once during the night! Keep that steady rotation and you should see changes in the days coming. Drinking. Coconut milk/water can increase supply by a lot! With that being said if you’re like me and don’t like the taste drink body armor! It’s made with coconut water. Propel water. Blue Powerade. Those are my 3 go to and they’ve always helped me keep up with my supply and of course make sure you’re drinking plain water here and there as well! The last thing you want to do is be discouraged, you got this and I believe any and everyone is capable! If you feel it’s really taking a toll on you physically or mentally and u choose to stop trying to breastfeed that is also okay, a fed baby is the best way! And if no one has told any of you today I’m proud of the mom you are! ❤️ This is what has helped me and I hope it helps someone in the near future I’m happy to help!!!🥰
