🇺🇸 Freedom Has One Author.
Today, many celebrate the freedom of a nation.
But her freedom didn’t begin with a declaration.
It began at the cross.
The nation didn’t set her free.
God did.
He freed her from the weight of sin.
He freed her from shame.
He freed her from fear.
He freed her from the need to become someone He never created her to be.
Because of Christ, she is independently confident, poised in every season, and firmly grounded in God.
Her greatest freedom isn’t political.
It’s spiritual.
Today, she can celebrate her country with gratitude, but her deepest praise belongs to the One who gave her true freedom.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
