It's about consciously choosing to stop trying to control every outcome and instead, surrendering my worries to God. This isn't always easy, especially when anxiety tries to creep in. I've found that journaling my fears and then literally writing down, 'I give this worry to you, God,' can be incredibly freeing. It’s like physically handing over that heavy load. Sometimes, when I’m feeling particularly overwhelmed, I'll just sit in silence and pray, simply saying, "God, I feel anxious about [this situation]. I need your peace and rest." And truly, a sense of calm often washes over me. It's not magic, but a profound trust that He is bigger than my problems and that He cares deeply for what's weighing me down. This isn't about ignoring challenges, but facing them with a renewed spirit, knowing God is with me. Another thing that helps me immensely is leaning into the idea of "do not be anxious about anything." It sounds simple, but it requires practice. When a worry pops into my head, I try to immediately shift my focus to gratitude or to a promise from God's Word. It's a mental muscle you build over time. When I’m finding rest in God, I feel called to extend that comfort to others. Sometimes it's a listening ear, a kind word, or just sharing how God has helped me through tough times. Allowing God to use me to help 'meet their needs' isn't about having all the answers, but about being present and pointing them to the ultimate source of help. It’s a beautiful cycle: the more I lean on Him for my own anxieties, the more I can be a vessel for His healing and inspiration for others.
