I know I’ve often hesitated, wondering if my words are 'good enough' or if I'll say the wrong thing. But then I remember Matthew 10:20 NIV, which is such a powerful reminder that it's not about my perfect words, but about having a willing heart. God truly speaks through us, guiding our thoughts and softening hearts, even when we feel completely unprepared. This verse highlights that we're never speaking alone; He is speaking with us. This journey of trusting God with our voice often brings up other concerns too. Have you ever felt overwhelmed by worries, just like I do sometimes? Whether it's the fear of judgment or simply the anxieties of daily life, those concerns can really weigh us down. That's why I found so much comfort in another verse I came across recently, Isaiah 26:3 NIV: 'You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.' It’s a beautiful promise! When my mind starts racing with 'what ifs' and 'my fear is my concern,' I try to imagine handing those worries over to Jesus, trusting Him to handle what I can’t. This helps me 'let tomorrow worry about itself' and focus on the perfect peace He offers right now. Speaking of peace and trust, getting closer to God isn't just about reading verses; it's about seeing Him in everything. One way I've been trying to draw nearer to Him is by observing the world He created. Job 12:7-10 NIV really speaks to this, saying things like 'Ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you.' It encourages us to learn from even the smallest parts of creation. Reflecting on how nature works, the intricate design of a flower, or the vastness of the stars, truly reveals God's incredible nature and character. It’s a simple yet profound way to feel His presence and appreciate His wisdom. It helps me understand that if He cares for all creation, how much more does He care for me, and for the words He puts in my heart to share! This deeper connection helps reinforce the truth that 'my God will supply all your needs' (Philippians 4:19, a powerful reminder of His provision). Even when things feel uncertain, knowing that 'in all things God works for the good of those who love him' (Romans 8:28 NIV) brings such comfort. It means every experience, good or challenging, can be used for His glory and our growth. So, when someone asks about my hope, as 1 Peter 3:15 NIV suggests, I can confidently explain the hope I have in Christ. And when facing trials, remembering verses from James 5:8 or James 5:16-18 about patience and the power of prayer encourages me to persevere and pray without ceasing. Ultimately, whether I'm sharing a simple verse or grappling with personal fears, it all comes back to trusting in God's unwavering presence.
