The LETTER that broke down my walls

From time to time, when I go through the episode that I went through(if you’ve read previous posts)… in my head, I still feel a sting because really, the hurt never goes away. It will always be there & I feel even if it didn’t work out, i know I will still be carrying that hurt in my heart. Many will say time will heal. Often times, It really doesn’t. You just learn to accept what happened to you & move forward. We don’t just magically wake up one day & forget everything.

In my case, things did work out & it’s mostly decided by this letter (of course, the true forgiveness comes from the actions in the long run).

My husband one day, wrote a letter to me. Perhaps in hopes I can listen to his heart instead of just blocking him out. If you know him as a person, he’s not the kind who would write letters & as for myself, I admit I can build a tough wall when I need to. After this trying season, he made sure I’d tell him anything if there’s anything that he does or hvnt done that may make me feel uncomfortable. I think the key thing here is that he listens & put things into action rather than just words.

Alas, currently we have since worked out on a lot of things & set new boundaries. I can truly say now that I am not afraid anymore. I know what I’m worth & I know I deserve the best. At the very least, the person who should truly treat me right is myself. Being in a relationship is to be vulnerable & you risk yourself getting hurt. Life , however is all about this, isn’t it? To truly live, you have to live life to the fullest; Give your best, learn & forgive, fall but get yourself back up again. Nothing is forever so let’s just all live our best life the best possible.
