Notes from 2025

In 2026, I’m choosing myself more often.

1/14 Edited to

... Read moreReflecting on the insights shared from 2025, I found the journey toward choosing myself in 2026 deeply inspiring and personally transformative. One key lesson I've embraced is the power of self-talk. Often, our inner voice can be our harshest critic, but intentionally shifting it to a supportive cheerleader has boosted my confidence immensely. Repeating affirmations like "I am enough" helps me combat self-doubt and reminds me that my efforts are valid, not just for my own sake but for those I love. Another significant shift has been making my online consumption more intentional. Like many of us, social media can feel overwhelming and distracting. By decluttering feeds and following content that aligns with my goals, I've reclaimed precious focus and mental space. This conscious curation not only reduces stress but genuinely enhances my productivity and peace of mind. Equally important is recognizing the value of my social circle. I've learned to cherish those who truly support and believe in me—even when I'm vulnerable. Quality connections nourish my well-being. This has helped me understand that it's okay to let go of relationships that drain me. Setting boundaries has also been a game-changer. Previously, I overextended myself to explain or give too much, which left me exhausted. Now, I prioritize my energy and recognize that holding onto it is vital for thriving. This has made my days feel more balanced and fulfilling. Living in the present rather than dwelling on past scars has been healing. Accepting that some wounds might never fully heal but can serve as reminders of my resilience has empowered me to move forward without being weighed down. Lastly, I’ve embraced celebrating small wins—even those invisible to others. Whether it's managing my child's sleep or simply getting through a tough day, acknowledging these moments uplifts my spirit. Adults often forget to give themselves encouragement, but small victories truly matter. Overall, these reflections resonate as a roadmap for anyone seeking a kinder, more intentional approach to life in 2026. Choosing oneself isn’t selfish; it’s essential for growth and joy.

We derived these rates from the quotes we received during Apr - Jun 2025. All values are before GST. 📝 Notes: Rates are not all it seems. In masonry for example, some quoted a separate item for waterproofing, mitre joints and drops. Some included it in the tiling rates. 😵‍💫 Some quoted for hi

Since 14 July, life hasn’t slowed down. Right after the court date, I found myself in back-to-back meetings with our housing agent, then dived straight into a whirlwind of clearing, decluttering, and repainting the house to prepare it for sale. At the same time, I’ve been juggling ongoing site proj

MY OUTS FOR 2025…
I fully embrace my identity as a certified hater 😂 BUT there are specific things that really set me off, mostly because they’re glamorized as “COOL” or aspirational, yet rarely questioned. What frustrates me most is when people jump on bandwagons without understanding what they’re doing or whether
