What’s better than chocolate & peanut butter? 🍫🤎
Ingredients 🧈🥚
- 1 1/4 cup of peanut butter
- 2/3 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 7 tbsp butter
- 7oz chocolate, chopped
- Reese’s minis
Instructions 📝
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two 8x8 pans with parchment paper.
2. Add the peanut butter to a microwave-safe bowl and heat until smooth and pourable. Pour it into one of the lined pans, spread it into an even layer, and freeze until firm.
3. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and chocolate. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined and slightly lighter in color. Mix in the vanilla and salt.
5. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir until smooth. Add the flour and mix just until incorporated.
6. Spread half of the brownie batter into your prepared pan. Remove the peanut butter layer from the freezer and place it on top of the batter.
7. Cover the peanut butter layer with the remaining brownie batter, spreading it gently into an even layer. Top with more peanut butter & chopped Reese’s
8. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
9. Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing for the cleanest layers.

As someone who loves experimenting with desserts, this chocolate and peanut butter brownie recipe is definitely a crowd-pleaser in my kitchen. The key to getting those clean, distinct layers lies in freezing the peanut butter layer first – this prevents it from blending into the brownie batter and keeps the flavors separate and pronounced. Using Reese’s minis on top not only adds texture but intensifies that classic peanut butter and chocolate combo. One tip I found useful is to warm the peanut butter gently until it’s smooth and easily spreadable, making the layering process smooth and even. Melting the chocolate with butter in intervals guarantees a silky chocolate mixture that blends perfectly with the eggs and sugars. When you bake these, watching for a toothpick test with a few moist crumbs ensures the brownies remain gooey inside without being raw. Cooling completely before slicing is crucial for getting neat, photogenic bars without crumbling – this step is well worth the wait! I also experimented by adding a pinch of espresso powder to the chocolate mixture to enhance the chocolate flavor even more. The result was incredible – a richer, deeper chocolate taste. Whether for a casual family dessert or a special occasion, these brownies with their perfect balance of peanut butter and chocolate, especially enhanced by Reese’s minis, will surely win hearts and satisfy sweet cravings.
