I told y’all I’ll go anywhere as long as the food is good, and today that meant a tiny cash-only spot in NoDa called The Sandwich Shop.

It’s as no-frills as it gets…just a grab-and-go burger and sandwich counter open from 11–5. Prices are solid (fries are included, which I love), and my $9 chili cheese dog, fries, and Diet Coke came out piping hot.

The bun was toasted, the chili was flavorful, the fries were fresh. Nothing fancy, just good food done right.
