These products lock in moisture and help restore the skin's natural barrier, which can often be compromised by harsh weather conditions. Applying these creams after showering, while your skin is still slightly damp, enhances absorption and provides lasting hydration throughout the day. Aside from using quality creams, I make it a point to drink plenty of water and avoid overly hot showers, which can further dehydrate the skin. Adding a humidifier to my living space during winter also helps maintain optimal moisture levels in the air, supporting my skin health. For anyone dealing with flaky or itchy patches, switching to thick, nourishing creams rather than lotions has been a game-changer. These richer formulations provide intensive care and protection, especially in winter.
