Mum Struggle

Every mum who’s juggling work, kids and a thousand responsibilities knows this feeling that quiet pull between “I stay because my kids need stability”

and “I don’t know how long I can keep living like this.”

It shows up in the rush of mornings.

In the late nights after everyone’s asleep.

In the moments when you finally stop moving and feel how tired your soul actually is.

You’re trying to be everything.

A good mum.

A present mum.

A provider.

A partner.

A woman who holds the family together.

So you tell yourself to push through.

To be grateful.

To endure.

Because that’s what strong mums do, right?

But here’s the truth we don’t say enough, our kids don’t just need a mother who stays.

They need a mother who is okay.

A mother who feels alive.

A mother who isn’t quietly breaking while doing her best.

Sometimes love isn’t just sacrifice.

Sometimes love is building another option.

Another path.

Another future.

Not because you’re selfish but because you’re brave enough to believe your children deserve a mum who isn’t just surviving her life but living it.

Mummies, we all deserve that too.

... Read moreAs a mum myself, I've often found the tug-of-war between caring for my children and maintaining my own wellbeing incredibly challenging. The pressure to be constantly present as a loving, supportive parent while also fulfilling other roles can sometimes feel overwhelming. But I've learned that acknowledging these struggles openly is the first step toward change. One of the most powerful realizations I've had is that the wellbeing of my children hinges not only on my presence but on my health — emotional, mental, and physical. When I prioritize self-care, even in small ways like a quiet cup of tea or a short walk, I find my patience and energy replenished. This makes me a better mum and partner. I've come to view love not only as self-sacrifice but as creating sustainable paths forward. This means setting boundaries, seeking help when needed, and being courageous enough to explore new possibilities that support both my family and myself. Our children deserve to see us thriving, not just surviving. It's also been invaluable to connect with other mums who share similar experiences. Online communities with hashtags like #MumStruggles and #MumBalance offer support and a sense of solidarity. Sharing stories reminds us that we're not alone and that finding balance is a journey, not a destination. Remember, prioritizing your needs is not selfish; it's an act of bravery and love. When mums feel alive and fulfilled, the entire family flourishes. Together, we can redefine what strength in motherhood truly means.

Burnout in Motherhood Is Often Silent
Burnout as a working mum isn’t always obvious. Sometimes it shows up as snapping a little faster than you want to. Sometimes it’s staring at the clock, already tired before the day even begins. It’s holding your child close while your mind quietly runs through emails, deadlines, dinner plans,

👶 Helper vs Infant Care (No Regrets so Far)
When I had my baby, everyone said: “Get a helper, easier life!” But I went the other way — I sent my baby to infant care at just 10 weeks old. Now she’s 5 months 8 days, and honestly… it’s been a ride 😅 Yes, she falls sick so easily (every IFC mum knows this struggle 😭) — but I still wouldn’t

Motherhood pauses the world, love steps in

Probably the toughest job ever 😮‍💨
I don't think I'll ever want to be one, but I seriously have maddddd respect for those who do!! 🫡 It is really not easy and is a severely underappreciated role. Personally, I find going out to work much easier and more straightforward compared to being a SAHM 😂 For now, we are happy as a
