The Real Mom Struggle.

Have you ever been stuck in that impossible place?

➡️ Your child is sick.

➡️ Work is calling you back because of manpower shortage.

➡️ And you’re torn in two.

It happens so often, especially with little ones in school or childcare. They fall sick so frequently. And yet, 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩.

I’ve been there myself. I was once asked to return to work while my child was unwell… even told to train my helper to take care of my sick child just so I could report back to work.

But let’s be honest—𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞? 💔

If something were to happen, we’d carry that guilt forever.

The truth is, kids’ health and well-being will always matter more than work.

But the harsh reality is… 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲.

That’s exactly why I started building my digital side hustle. 💻✨

Because I don’t want to keep being stuck in this painful cycle.

I want to create freedom—to be present when my children need me most.

👉 If you’re a mom who feels the same pull, maybe it’s time to explore another way too.

𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝘂𝗴-𝗼𝗳-𝘄𝗮𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱? 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲.

❤️ For our kids. For our peace of mind. For the life we deserve.

... Read moreBeing a mom is a relentless balancing act, especially when work pressures don't pause even as your child falls ill. Many mothers face the heartbreaking dilemma of choosing between their career obligations and their children’s well-being—a situation that no digital helper or substitute can truly resolve. The image message "O Between work aprof 9 motherhood Real Talk" perfectly reflects this struggle that resonates deeply with countless moms. In today's fast-paced work environments, manpower shortages often mean that taking leave is difficult and that pressure to return to work is heavy. This often forces moms to delegate caregiving duties to others, which can weigh heavily with guilt and anxiety. However, embracing alternative income streams, such as a digital side hustle, has become an empowering solution for many. This approach allows moms to create flexible work opportunities that prioritize family while maintaining financial stability. A digital side hustle can range from freelance writing, online tutoring, virtual assistance, to selling handmade products or consulting. These opportunities provide autonomy over one’s schedule and often require only a laptop and internet connection, making it ideal for parents needing to be available for their children. Moreover, digital ventures can build skills and networks that might even transform into long-term careers offering even greater work-life balance. For moms struggling to escape the painful cycle of constant compromise, developing a side income online presents a practical path forward. It extends more than just financial relief—it fosters mental peace and affectionate presence during their children's critical moments. This change addresses the emotional toll described in the article, recognizing that while work demands never truly stop, creative solutions can help rewrite the story. Ultimately, the harsh reality of choosing between work and motherhood won’t disappear without intentional change. But by building new foundations through digital side gigs, mothers find ways to honor their roles as caregivers and professionals simultaneously. It’s a modern mom’s real talk—acknowledging struggles while actively seeking freedom to be there where it matters most, for their kids and their own peace of mind.

how I'm keeping my mom alive, 15 years after death
I lost my mom at the age of 8 years old in 2010. It's been 15 years since she's passed, and I'm 23 now. 💌 I've always wanted to keep her alive, I didn't want her to just fade away. Recently, the HeyKaki team reached out to me and asked if I'd be willing to share about her.
