I can’t believe this happened. After 10 years in consumer and marketing insights, pouring myself into my work and building my expertise, I got a Teams invite with zero context—and within minutes, I was told my role was gone due to “restructuring.”
It’s surreal. I feel a mix of shock, stress, and fear about what comes next. I keep replaying the last 1.5 years in my head, thinking about all the late nights, projects, and growth that just… ended.
I know layoffs happen, but facing it firsthand is a whole different experience. How do you process losing a job you’ve poured so much of yourself into?
