Dear Lee: A Letter to Myself and My Angels 🙏🏾🪽👑

I’ve been thinking a lot about my foundation. It wasn't built by one or two people, but by four. A unique bond, a powerful friendship, all united by a single purpose: raising me.

S.B., my mother, you earned your wings on February 19, 2015.

B.L.,my father, you followed on June 14, 2016.

R.L.,my step-mother, you joined them on September 27, 2025.

And A.C., my step-father, you are still here, my living rock.

You all came together in different ways, at different times, but you all chose to love me, to guide me, and to build a life for me. You poured your hopes, your struggles, and your unwavering love into me. To my angels in heaven: your absence is a constant ache, but your love is my compass. To you, A.C.: your presence is my strength, a continuing chapter of the legacy you all started.

I want you all to know—I see it. I carry the weight and the gift of what you built together every single day.

And I want to make you a promise, right here, right now: I will not waste it.

No matter how long it takes, no matter the obstacles, I will build a life that honors the family you created for me. I will channel your strength when I feel weak. I will remember your perseverance when I want to quit. I will make you proud. Not with fleeting achievements, but with a lifetime of integrity, purpose, and love.

This isn't just for you, or for me. This is for the generations you planted the seeds for. This is for my two beautiful blessings, my grandchildren.

My goal is to build a legacy for them.

I will build a foundation so strong that my grandchildren will never have to wonder if they are supported. They will stand on the shoulders of the giants you were—S.B., B.L., R.L., and A.C.—and see a horizon full of possibilities. They will know your stories, they will inherit your resilience, and they will be surrounded by a love that was built just for me, and now flows to them.

My goal is that they will inherit a world less burdened, a family bound by unbreakable bonds, and a name that speaks of honor. They will know that their greatness began with the family you all built.

So thank you. Thank you for my life. Thank you for my fire.
